Danger Box, an up-and-coming punk band from Nanaimo, B.C., has found themselves in a brutal predicament. Their tour van is stuck in Sault-Ste-Marie, and it won’t be available for 2 weeks. They have had to cancel a number of shows in the prairies and Western Canada (shows that would have helped them to get home), and they are heading to Toronto so that they can hopefully raise some funds to get back to B.C. LOLA is gonna put on a benefit show for them this Thursday May 29, starting at 8pm to help with this. In addition to Danger Box, Old Mountain Low will be playing. More details to follow in terms of other bands/lineup. $10 or pwyc (and if you can contribute more than that, I know they’d definitely appreciate it). We’ll pass the tip jug around in addition to the door charge, and all funds raised go directly to the band.
Please share this post with your friends. Let’s show Danger Box that the T.O. scene is supportive and willing to help.
