I met Laura at her merch table before the show, wasn’t really expecting to chat with her, as she wasn’t doing the selling. But we did chat for a bit, and she’s awesome, so polite! No wonder she wanted to move to Winnipeg and be a Canadian.
Her performance was new to me, as the last time I saw her she was solo, and I’m always a big fan of those close intimate solo more acoustic shows. But her and the band kicked ass! Didn’t know many of the new songs, but many that I heard or didn’t know were on the new album I had just purchased. It was a great night. And I’ve always loved that building.
